Brazilian designer Carlos Miele created a limited-edition rainforest inspired t-shirt collection.
Actresses Scarlett Johansson, and Camilla Belle,as well as Brazilian born model Caroline Trentini lent a helping hand in the rainforest t-shirt design project. Belle's design (shown above) features the quote from Sister Dorothy Stang: "The death of the forest is the end of our life." A 74-year old American nun and environmentalist, Stang defended the environment and human rights despite the frequent death threats she endured. Her brave work ended on February 12, 2005 when she was shot to death in Brazil's Amazon rainforest.
Rainforest Foundation Ts were a tremendous success, thank you all who participated in this project
All proceeds from our partnership with Carlos Miele directly supported our work with the Hutukara Yanomami Association,Brazil.

Over the past 16 years photographer Thomas Marent has traveled to remote corners of the world photographing rainforests, from Peru and Ecuador to New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, capturing the fascinating behavior and incredible variety of rarely-seen animals and plants. A true celebration of the world's most precious biological treasures, RAINFOREST is not to be missed.
Published by Dorling Kindersley (DK), RAINFOREST is printed on acid-free paper derived from certified sustainable European forests; no wood from the rainforest areas was used in the manufacture of the books. The Rainforest Foundation received a portion of the profits for every book sold.
